Make Using Google Gmail Easier and Faster With Keyboard Shortcuts

Many people have Google Gmail accounts but not everybody knows that there are a substantial number of keyboard shortcuts available to speed up using Gmail. . Unlike some other services, these shortcuts are not automatically enabled for Gmail.

How to turn on the use of keyboard shortcuts
  1. Go to your Gmail account page
  2. Click “Settings” in the upper right corner.
  3. In the Settings list that appears, find the entry for keyboard shortcuts. (It's near the top.)
  4. Click the radio button next to “Keyboard shortcuts on”.
  5. Click "Save changes".

Keyboard shortcutAction
#Delete selected or open message
rReply to the sender of a message
aReply to all
fForward a message
cCompose a new message
Tab, followed by EnterSend a message
g, followed by iReturn to Inbox
zUndo (if possible). You have 5 seconds after Send
There are a number of other keyboard shortcuts and entering "?" (without quotes) will open a list. You can also go to this Google link for a list.
