Manually Cleaning Temp Folder In Windows XP

1. Click on Start and then Run.
2. In the text box in the Run window, type %Temp% and click OK. A folder full of files and other folders will appear.
   All of the folders and files you see in this Temp folder are no longer being used by Windows XP and can safely be deleted.
3. To remove individual folders or files, hold down your Ctrl key while left-clicking on each item you want delete. Release the Ctrl key when you're finished.
   To delete these items, hit your Delete key or choose File and then Delete from the menu.
4. Confirm that you want to delete the files by clicking Yes on the Confirm Multiple File Delete window that opens.
5. If you'd instead like to remove everything inside the Temp folder, choose Edit and then Select All from the menu.
   Note: If you're prompted that there are hidden files in this folder, just click on OK to bypass the message. A few hidden files hanging out in the Temp folder probably aren't important enough to worry about.
6. Now that all of the files and folders are selected, hit your Delete key or choose File and then Delete from the menu.
7. Confirm that you want to delete the files by clicking Yes on the Confirm Multiple File Delete window that opens.
8. After all of the files have been deleted you can close the window and empty your Recycle Bin, permanently removing the files from your PC.

Memeory Vilation Problem in tally 7.2 relaese 2.1

Data Issues

Error Message/Code:

‘Memory Access Violation’ message is displayed while loading Tally.

‘Memory Access Violation’ message is displayed while printing reports or any other document from Tally.

Memory Access Violation ' message occurs while printing cheques.

Reason:

This error can occur:

due to wrong screen resolution

due to wrong/ corrupt printer drivers

due to possible virus attack

due to improper TDL’s

possible data corruption.

Solution:

Set Default Companies to No

Open Tally and Rewrite the company data by pressing Ctrl+Alt+R.

Set the screen resolution to 1024x768 with 32-bit high color.

Delete the printer drivers available in the printer panel. Execute Tally and check. If  the problem still persists, re-install the printer driver.  Define  the correct paper size to continue printing.

If the problem persists, check for viruses in the system.

If  the  problem still persists, re-install Tally in a different folder/ drive and check.

Disable the TDL file in Tally.INI and check.

 

My desktop icons have changed to windows media center icon in win 7

This problem can be solved by trying this method:
Create a new user account.
1. Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety (or clicking User Accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking User Accounts.
2. Click Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. Click Create a new account.
4. Type the name you want to give the user account, click an account type, and then click Create Account.

Windows Xp restarts

If Windows Xp restarts then the following tricks can be tried:
The fixboot writes a new partition boot sector to the system partition. The fixboot command is only available when you are using the Recovery Console
The chkdsk command to be executed using Hiren's Bootable 10.0 and above version. From the hiren's bootable disk run Microsoft Winxp found on that cd. When u reach the desktop u can find the chkdsk command in start menu.

Blue Screen of Death

The Blue Screen of Death (also known as BSoD or Blue Screen), known officially as a Stop Error is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to crash. The term is named after the color of the screen generated by the error.
Possible Reasons
1. Hardware or driver related, causing the computer to stop responding in order to prevent damage to the hardware or data.
2. First replace the RAM and see. If it still exist then it can be drivers.

Recycle Bin disappears

1. click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. If you are using the standard Windows XP Start menu
   1. Locate the following registry key:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel
   2. In the right pane, right-click the following registry DWORD value, and then click Modify:

   3. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK. (The TweakUI utility sets this value to 1 to hide the Recycle Bin icon.)
   If you are using the classic Windows XP Start menu

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu
   2. In the right pane, right-click the following registry DWORD value, and then click Modify:
