Delete, Locked, Undeletable Files with FILEASSASSIN

Fileassassin is a freeware software solution designed to help you delete locked malware files on a system.

If you use a computer, you’ve probably come across at least one of the following messages:
  • Cannot delete file: Access is denied.
  • Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.
  • The source or destination file may be in use.
  • The file is in use by another program or user.
This small and simple program can unlock files from processes running in Windows which have locked them so that the user cannot otherwise process them: delete them, defrag them, etc. Even files locked by Windows Explorer, such as the Thumb Cache files, this program can unlock and remove all handles so you the user can process them normally. Very good, and absolutely FREE!

How to Turn off Digital Driver Signing Check in Windows 7

Why is digital signature required ?
To prevent users from installing devices or drivers that do not provide a valid digital signature that is accepted as a trusted source by Microsoft.

If no signed driver exists, there are some potential risks to using untested and unverified drivers. Firstly, the driver might not even work with Windows. Secondly, the driver could have been altered to include malware or viruses, and these could damage your system or even steal vital information from you. Finally, badly-written drivers can also make your system unstable.

Nevertheless, just because a driver is unsigned doesn’t automatically mean it’s bad. It only means it hasn’t gone through the certification process. There are many safe and useful unsigned drivers out there that people can use. It’s a matter of taking the necessary precautions before installing these drivers on your computer.

There is a Policy setting available to turn off the requirement.

  • Press windows+r to open RUN, and type gpedit.msc
  • Goto User Config/Admin Template/System/Driver installation/code signed drivers
  • Click on ENABLE option for code signed drivers:
  • then set the drop box to "Ignore"
